Legacy Version Release Notes

This section contains release notes for previous major versions of Tricerat's print and scan management solutions. These versions are no longer under active development, but documentation remains available for customers still running these releases.

End of Active Support

Version 6 and earlier releases are considered legacy software. While they continue to function, they no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or new features. Customers running legacy versions are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Version 7 for:

  • TLS 1.2 security enhancements
  • Modern platform support (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Expanded protocol support (RDP, ICA, PCoIP, HTML5)
  • Improved performance and stability
  • Ongoing security and feature updates

Version 6 (2016-2020)​

Version 6 introduced automatic client updates, advanced print features, and significant performance improvements. The final Version 6 release was 6.10.3.

Simplify Suite Version 5 (2011-2015)​

Simplify Suite Version 5 was a comprehensive virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution that included ScrewDrivers printing, Simplify Profiles, Simplify Desktop, and other workspace management tools.

ScrewDrivers Version 4 (2006-2015)​

ScrewDrivers Version 4 was the standalone printing solution before integration into the Simplify Suite product line.
