Using These Docs with AI Assistants
If you use an AI assistant — a chatbot, a coding agent, or a support copilot — it can answer ScrewDrivers questions well when you point it at this documentation properly. Here's how to get reliable results.
Point your assistant at the docs
- The machine-readable index lives at docs.tricerat.com/llms.txt. It lists every current page with a description, plus guidance written for agents. If your assistant accepts URLs or context sources, give it that one first.
- Assistants that crawl can also use the sitemap. Individual pages are plain HTML with descriptive headings, so direct page URLs work well as context too.
Give it your context
The answers change with your environment, so tell the assistant up front:
- Your edition — Essentials, Pro, or Enterprise. Features like print servers, scanning, and mobile printing are edition-specific.
- Your ScrewDrivers version (find it in the client's About tab or ScrewDrivers Administration) and your License Server version — compatibility guidance depends on both.
- Your platform — Citrix, RDP/RDS, Omnissa Horizon, and your endpoint OS mix.
A prompt like "We run ScrewDrivers Pro 7.9.x on Citrix with Windows and IGEL endpoints — using docs.tricerat.com, how do I …" gets a much better answer than the question alone.
Help it avoid the classic mistakes
- Archived content isn't current. Pages under
/archive/describe v6 and earlier (end of life December 31, 2025). If an assistant cites an archive page for a current question, ask it for the v7 equivalent. - Check currency against the release notes — that's where version facts live.
- Ask for page links. An answer that cites the specific docs page is one you can verify; an answer without citations is a guess.
When to go to a human
These docs describe shipped product behavior. If an assistant's answer isn't grounded in a page here — or the stakes are high — verify with Tricerat Support (support@tricerat.com, 800-582-5167 x3) before acting on it. Support can also confirm whether behavior you're seeing is a known issue.
